Deniz Khazan became the first Barry woman since Sonja Larsen in 2017 to win the ITA DII singles title after knocking off Mae Canete of Central Oklahoma 6-2, 6-4 on Sunday. Khazan, along Larsen and Emanuel Fraitzl (2010), earns a national team championship and individual singles title in the same calendar year.
