Pamela McDonald led the Bucs to four straight Sunshine State Conference titles from 1999-2002, not losing a single conference game. The Bucs also won the NCAA South Region titles in 1999 and 2000, advancing to the NCAA Final Four, which they hosted. McDonald scored 29 goals, including four game-winners, and added 39 assists, which was the school record upon her graduation. She currently ranks second all-time in assists, sixth in points (97) and 13th in goals. She was an NSCAA All-American in 2001 and 2002. She has continued to break records as a high school coach, winning seven district and two regional championships at Doral Academy. She was named the Miami Herald boys’ soccer coach of the year in Dade County in 2017 and 2021. She won the Florida 6A boys’ championship in 2021, becoming the first female head coach to win a boys’ title in any sport in state history. For her efforts, she was named National High School Coach of the Year by USA Today, across all high school sports.
