Dave Nichols, who coached the women’s volleyball team for 12 years, tops the list with the most wins (276), most conference wins (131) as well as the best winning percentage both overall (.734) and in conference matches (.766). He led the Bucs to the NCAA Division II national championship match three times, including wins in 2001 and 2004. His charges accumulated 24 All-America awards, three Academic All-America awards, six Sunshine State Conference Player of the Year awards, and 41 All-SSC selections. So far, six of his former players have been inducted into the Wall of Honor, including Cindy Yuan (2002), Janina Morusiewicz (2002), Elvira Vakhidova (2004), Fernanda Ferreira (2007), Fernanda Brino (2016) and Karla Bersano (2021). Yuan was the first player to earn SSC Player of the Year three times while Ferreira was the first Buccaneer to earn AVCA All-America three times in her career.
