Barry University is fortunate to have many quality athletic facilities, including Buccaneer Field, home of the softball program, one of the top facilities in South Florida.
Barry University has established a powerful tradition at Buccaneer Field, compiling a 32-year overall record of 505-207-1 (.709) through the 2018 season. The Bucs have posted winning records in 28 of the 33 years at Buccaneer Field, including a perfect 17-0 in 1991 and 31-6 in 1990 to set the record for home wins. Buccaneer Field was also site of the NCAA South Regional Tournament in 1997, 2002, 2003 and 2008.
The facility includes a grandstand and press area, constructed in 2002, and a Daktronics scoreboard, installed in 2006, with inning-by-inning results. Located behind the right field fence, the scoreboard is 24 feet long and 12 feet high. A public address system, with new (for 2011) full-range speakers, keeps the fans informed and entertained.
Buccaneer Field's dimensions are 190 feet down the lines, 220 feet to center field, and 200 feet in the alleys.
